The best thing since sliced bread

In a contest of "the best idea since sliced bread", sponsored by the enormous service industry union SEIU in the US, the winning idea (from over 22,000 entries) was a resource tax. This is essentially ecosystem service valuation, using a tax to get it going. Just in case you needed proof that this is a good idea...
